At Deafinitely Supportive, we are passionate about providing professional, friendly and genuinely caring support to Deaf individuals and their families. We support clients across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire, offering personalised services that always put people first.

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals with Level 3 BSL or above who continue to develop their communication skills to provide the best possible support. Every client is supported by BSL qualified, and DBS checked staff and begins with a full assessment so we can create a personalised, person centred support plan. Our goal is to help people feel confident, included and supported to achieve what matters to them, whether that is attending a gathering, being part of the community or simply enjoying everyday life.

Deafinitely Supportive was founded by Susana Micieli, inspired by her own experience as a parent. Susana has two Deaf children, one of whom is also autistic, and she has seen firsthand the challenges families face when the right support is not available. This led her to learn BSL and work as an interpreter and support worker.

While working in the sector, Susana saw that many services lacked the compassion, flexibility and understanding people truly need. She created Deafinitely Supportive to provide care built on respect, empathy and genuine understanding, with a strong focus on helping people grow, build confidence and achieve things they may not have thought possible.
